Job description

'An Ideal first job for a bright A-Level leaver or recent Graduate'

A solid start in a growing, future-focused company

If you’re looking for a role where you’ll learn fast, be trusted with responsibility and become a key part of how the business runs day-to-day, this could be the right move for you. We’re looking for someone organised, reliable and eager to learn not necessarily with lots of experience, but someone who enjoys working with systems, isn’t afraid of data, and communicates clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Salisbury office. You’ll join a small, friendly team who will support you as you build the knowledge and skills to grow your career.

What the role involves

You’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our operations and making sure everything is in place for customers to be billed accurately. That includes keeping systems up to date, investigating queries, helping to resolve problems, and communicating clearly with a range of teams and external partners. It’s varied, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who takes pride in getting things right.

Some of your main tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records in our systems to ensure billing and finance processes run smoothly

  • Process updates to our portfolio of customer meters (additions, removals, changes etc.)

  • Help prepare billing data and issue invoices

  • Work with the finance team to track payments and resolve any queries

  • Respond to customer emails promptly and professionally

  • Investigate issues and work with colleagues or partners to fix them

  • Support team admin tasks such as system testing and internal reporting

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • Strong attention to detail – you're the type who spots when something’s off

  • Good written and verbal communication – especially via email

  • Comfortable using IT systems (we’ll train you, but you won’t be afraid to try new tools)

  • Positive, can-do attitude – you’ll ask questions and get stuck in

  • Able to work well with others, manage your time and stay organised

Nice-to-haves (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with Excel or any kind of CRM/finance software

  • Experience working with customers or handling admin in a job, internship or volunteer role

  • Interest in how businesses manage revenue or customer operations

What we offer
  • A clear, supported pathway into your career

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Private medical cover and matched pension

  • Friendly, supportive team culture

  • Ongoing learning, development and career opportunities

Without question, a fantastic role for someone who is looking to get their career underway! Make contact with us today, speak to Sam and see if this is the kind of opportunity you have been looking for.
