The service you will work in….

Hestia Blackfen Recovery House(BRH) is situated at the heart of London Borough of Bexley, Blackfen Road, it provides 7 Bedroom accomodation with 24hours support in a nonclinical environment to vulnerable people who are experiencingmental health crisis. Patients staying at the BRH will be under the care of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team(CRHTT), a multi disciplinary team who offer care an treatment in a least restrictive option and alternative to hopsital admission, We also provide Step downsupport to inpatients whose treatment have been optiised but are not ready to go back to their own home.

A day in this role looks like….

As a Team managerat Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Recovery service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • To be supported by the Service Manager in the running and strategic development of Hestia's Greenwichservice in line with the contractual requirements
  • The operational hours of the service are evenings/nights, including weekends and on bank holidays. Theservice must be delivered 365 days per year
  • To work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that Recovery Workers and Peer Support works listenand support people to de-escalate their immediate situation empowering them to develop selfmanagement techniques, build their assets and advocate for their own wishes
  • To be supported by the Service Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance ofpartnerships and engagement strategies for the Crisis Café Service
  • To develop joint working and monitoring protocols with key stakeholders and partners for both servicesand to be the main point of contact for ongoing joint working relationships in nominated borough service
  • Supported by the Service Manager, to manage all elements of service performance related to the contractrequirements for the Crisis Café including analysis of KPIs, outcomes and user experience measures
  • To lead Team Meetings and engage staff in reflective supervision outside of the operational hours of theCrisis Café
  • To lead on the timely and accurate submission of all internal and external reports detailing interimstrategies to address any areas of underperformance in line with the Crisis Café contract requirements
  • To work with the Service Manager on the development and implementation of both of the Crisis Caféannual Business Plan and Equality plan
  • With the Service Manager, to maintain the continuing relevance of the provision of the Crisis Café tocustomers' needs by ongoing planning, monitoring and evaluating and effective service delivery
  • To achieve the agreed standards of service delivery for the Crisis Café in compliance with relevantlegislation, external governance, contract requirements and Hestia policies and procedures

  • Demonstrable experience of managing servicesfor and with people with mental health andcomplex needs
  • Demonstrable experience of recruitment,induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal,training, disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Experience of performance monitoring anddelivering consistently high service userstandards
  • Ability and experience of managing complexbudgets
  • Understanding of Mental Health CrisisManagement and the delivery of services to meettheir needs and aspirations including workingwith peer support workers
  • Excellent knowledge of Community Care, Mentalhealth, Health and Safety and welfare benefitslegislation (including welfare reform)
  • Understanding of working in partnership withstatutory mental health services
  • Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating,implementing, recording, reviewing andmonitoring service user support and assessmentplans
  • Ability to positively promote the organisation atexternal events, including deliveringpresentations and creating marketing material
  • Good knowledge of MS Office systems
