Job summary

The Royal Air Force seeks an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join theatre teams across UK RAF Stations, delivering peri-operative patient care and ensuring smooth running of theatres and equipment.

You will work as part of anaesthetic, scrub and recovery teams, provide resuscitation and surgical assistance, and reprocess instruments in the Sterile Services Department; overseas deployments may be required during exercises and operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a multifunctional part of anaesthetic, scrub and recovery teams
• Provide resuscitation and first surgical assistance
• Reprocess instruments and other reusable medical devices in the Sterile Services Department
• This role will be located anywhere in the UK on an RAF Station and includes the potential of overseas service during exercises/operations.
