What You’ll Accomplish

  • Take responsibility for the hardware system design and realization of a complex, large-scale electronics control system.
  • Design, build, and test electronics products using your skills in analogue and digital circuit design, along with industry-standard CAD packages and test equipment.
  • Document your electronics circuits and verification tests.
  • Develop your experience across a broad range of electronics engineering subjects.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists towards common goals.
  • Play a key role in building control systems for quantum computers.
  • Maintain UQ's position by using state-of-the-art electronics solutions.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and reporting progress and issues.
  • Participate in project planning activities, risk management, and scheduling requirements.
  • Contribute to fast turnaround proof-of-concept and feasibility discussions.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the firmware and software used to control quantum computers.
