Lead a Team That Changes Lives Every Day
Opiate Team Leader

Some people come to us at a point where life feels difficult, uncertain or overwhelming. The right support, at the right time, can help someone rebuild confidence, improve their health, strengthen relationships and take positive steps towards the future they want. That's why leadership matters.

We're looking for an Opiate Team Leader to lead and develop a committed team in Croydon. Someone who can bring energy, compassion and direction. Someone who can support colleagues to do their best work while helping people achieve meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys developing people, improving services and making a genuine difference every day.

The Details:

Hours: 37.5 hours per week*

Contract Type: Permanent

Additional Outer London Weighting applies to this role - pro rata based on contracted hours.

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and any associated payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing

You’ll lead a team of talented practitioners who support people affected by opiate dependency.

You’ll be there to coach, challenge and support your team, helping them feel confident in their roles and focused on delivering safe, high-quality support.

No two days will look the same. One day you might be supporting a colleague with a complex situation, the next you’ll be working with partners to improve pathways or looking at ways to strengthen service performance.

You’ll play a key role in creating a culture where both colleagues and the people we support feel valued, respected and able to succeed.

We're Looking For Someone Who...

You might already be a Team Leader, or you may be an experienced practitioner ready to take the next step.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who believes in people.

You’ll know how to build strong relationships, bring teams together and create an environment where people feel motivated and supported.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience working within substance use, health, social care, mental health or related services.
  • Experience supervising, coaching or leading others.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Confidence managing performance and supporting service improvement.
  • Strong communication and partnership-working skills.
  • A genuine commitment to helping people improve their wellbeing, achieve their goals and realise their potential.
Why Join Us?

At Change Grow Live, we know that great services start with great people.

You’ll join a supportive and ambitious organisation where people genuinely care about the work they do and the impact they have.

We’ll trust you to lead, encourage you to bring new ideas and support your ongoing development.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to shape services, develop your career and make a real difference within your community.

What We Offer
  • Generous annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Leadership development support
  • Employee wellbeing services
  • A wide range of employee discounts and benefits
Ready for Your Next Leadership Challenge?

This isn’t just about managing a service.

It’s about helping a team thrive.

It’s about supporting people to make positive changes.

And it’s about being part of something that genuinely matters.

Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role.

Our Approach to AI and Applications

AI can be a really helpful tool when putting together your application, and we’re happy for you to use it. However, what we’re most interested in is you.

We want to understand your experiences, achievements and strengths, so please make sure your application reflects your own story and clearly shows how you meet the essential criteria and the impact you’ve made in previous roles.

There’s no need to write in a particular style. The strongest applications are those that are authentic, specific and clearly demonstrate your skills, experience and potential. We look forward to learning more about you.
