Job summary

CVS Vets 24/7 Barnstaple is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our ECC OOH team. This role involves 3 nights in a 3-week rota from 6:45pm to 8am with weekend involvement as part of a rota.

You will work with a dedicated team across theatres, imaging and nursing to deliver exceptional out-of-hours care. Join our Gold Cat-Friendly and dog-friendly practice and enjoy strong support from certificate holders in surgery, imaging and dentistry, plus access to telemedicine and regional

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with ECC experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills across emergencies and after-hours care.
• Commitment to high standards of animal welfare and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ECC triage and Behandlung (care) out of hours.
• Collaborate with nursing team and day team for seamless patient handover.
• Maintain high standards of patient records and radiographic interpretation.

Are you looking for a new clinical challenge whilst maintaining a great work life balance?

We have an excitingopportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our OOH team at CVS Vets 24/7 Barnstaple for an ECC role. This is working 3 nights in a 3 week rota 6:45pm – 8am and weekends on a rota basis.

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and caring clinician to join us as an OOH's Vet for our dedicated out of hours service in Barnstaple. Our 24/7 Vet service complements the fantastic day team at Charter Vet Hospital and provides ECC to a number of practices in the area.

We pride ourselves on high standards of care and are looking for a like-minded vet who shares these same principles. Our facilities include – 2 theatres, 4 consulting rooms, on-site CT scanner, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound machine, laparoscopy and an in-house laboratory.

You will have the support of our very experienced veterinary team, with Certificate holders in: surgery, imaging, and dentistry. You will also work alongside our amazing nursing team with 2 RVN's working overnight and 2 RVN's, 1 PCA and a receptionist on a Sunday.

We are proud to have been awarded the GOLD status for being a Cat Friendly Clinic, and dog-friendly status.

This role is based in Barnstaple and is easily commutable from Bideford, Great Torrington, South Molton, Westward Ho!, Ilfracombe and other surrounding areas within Devon and North Cornwall.
