Job summary

bluestones medical seeks an experienced General Practitioner Locum to cover Out of Hours in Worcestershire. The role focuses on overnight and unscheduled care, with weekday, overnight, weekend and bank holiday sessions available.

You will assess and manage acute presentations, perform telephone and face-to-face consultations, and work autonomously while integrating with the wider clinical team.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise.
• NHS Performers List registration is required.
• Previous UK GP experience is desirable.
• Out-of-hours/urgent care experience is desirable.
• Competent using Adastra.
• Appropriate medical indemnity is held.
• Completion of mandatory training and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and unscheduled primary care outside normal opening hours.
• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of acute presentations.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with the wider clinical team.
• Undertake telephone and face-to-face consultations.

Role: General Practitioner Locum - Out of Hours
Engagement: Locum | Outside IR35
Pay: Up to £130 per hour
Priority: Overnight General Practitioner cover

We are currently seeking experienced General Practitioner to support an established Out of Hours service across Worcestershire, with overnight shifts currently a key priority.

This is an excellent opportunity for General Practitioners looking for flexible out-of-hours work, with regular weekday, overnight, weekend and bank holiday sessions available.

Role Overview

• Provide urgent and unscheduled primary care outside normal General Practitioner opening hours




• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of acute presentations




• Work autonomously while collaborating with the wider clinical team




• Undertake telephone and face-to-face consultations




• Support patients with a range of urgent and out-of-hours healthcare needs




• Support overnight, weekend and bank holiday services

Requirements

• Full registration with the General Medical Council and a Licence to Practise




• Registration on the National Health Service Performers List




• Previous experience working as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom




• Previous Out of Hours, urgent care or unscheduled care experience is desirable



• Competent using Adastra



• Ability to work autonomously and manage undifferentiated presentations




• Appropriate medical indemnity




• Completion of relevant mandatory training and compliance requirements
