Job summary

Apogee Corporation is seeking an Onsite Service Engineer to be the first point of contact for maintaining and supporting cutting-edge print and IT devices at client sites. You will diagnose issues, repair devices and provide ownership of service delivery to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

The role requires experience with MFD printers, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an engineer specialising in MFD printers is essential.
  • Proven ability to deal with clients professionally, remotely and face-to-face.
  • Proven ability to understand technical faults and use problem-solving techniques to resolve them.
  • Experience with Apogee products, processes and support tools.
  • Knowledge of basic networking, scanning and general IT.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair devices to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor devices proactively using advanced software.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients to maximise productivity.
  • Collaborate with Apogee and client teams to meet service-level agreements.
  • Manage onsite stock of consumables and spare parts effectively.

JOB DETAILS

As an Onsite Service Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for maintaining and supporting cutting-edge print and IT devices at our clients site. Your role is critical in ensuring smooth operations, resolving technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair devices to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Monitor devices proactively using advanced software.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients, empowering them to maximise productivity.
  • Collaborate with Apogee and client teams to meet service-level agreements.
  • Manage onsite stock of consumables and spare parts effectively.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, along with security and data integrity protocols.

A typical working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This is onsite 5 days per week.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Prior experience as an engineer specialising in MFD printers is essential

  • Proven ability to deal with clients in a professional and courteous manner, both remotely and face-to-face

  • Proven ability to understand technical faults and use problem-solving techniques to resolve

  • Experience of Apogee products, processes, and support tools

  • Proven knowledge and experience of basic networking, scanning, and general IT

  • Experience of resolving software issues

  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions, and to follow procedures and processes

  • Sense of urgency when required to enable fast working to successfully meet deadlines

  • Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks to ensure timely completion of all aspects of the role

  • Ability to organize workload to ensure maximum output is achieved whilst meeting customer requirements

  • Proven ability to self-motivate and work either as part of an effective team or unsupervised

  • Results-oriented with an excellent record of success

  • Able to logically examine and interpret information from different sources to develop a course of action

  • Flexible approach to work and an ability to embrace change

  • Full, clean driving licence

ENHANCED DBS

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
