Onsite Part-Time Optometrist: Contact Lens Specialist

Job summary

CooperVision Limited seeks a Clinician / Optometrist to support our Southampton operations as an outside IR35 contractor. Based at The Vision Centre, Southampton, you will work 1 day per week (8:30am-4:30pm) delivering contact lens appointments, fittings and aftercare in a state-of-the-art clinical environment.

You’ll educate colleagues on contact lenses, showcase latest innovations, manage your own diary and coordinate with the Events Manager to promote the scheme across the UK.

Qualifications

• Credible qualified Optometrist or CLO with at least 3 years of practice experience, including significant contact lens fitting expertise
• Previous experience in clinical education/demonstration role preferred.
• Previous experience managing your own clinical diary and working independently.
• Previous experience fitting and managing contact lens patients, with advanced contact lens fitting preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct contact lens appointments, including fitting, teaching and aftercare, with clinical excellence and clear communication
• Educate employees on contact lenses, including their benefits and latest innovations
• Demonstrate clinical equipment to visiting customers and support with equipment-related queries
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contact lens fitting, clinical practice, and clinical equipment
• Maintain awareness of market trends and category developments
• Work closely with the Events Coordinator to manage the clinical environment and support customer demonstrations
