Job summary

Pimlico Banks is recruiting an Infrastructure & Network Engineer for an on-site position in Birmingham, Staffordshire. The role focuses on networking, security and Linux server infrastructure within a varied estate.

You will work hands-on across Cisco, Check Point and Fortinet environments,installing and maintaining servers, troubleshooting infrastructure issues and supporting upgrades. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial infrastructure and network engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network equipment.
• Commercial experience with Linux servers.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers and firewalls.
• Working with Cisco networking technologies.
• Supporting Check Point and Fortinet security environments.
• Working with SD‑WAN infrastructure.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux servers.
• Building and commissioning physical server hardware.
• Supporting virtualised environments.
• Server patching and general infrastructure maintenance.
• Troubleshooting network, server and infrastructure issues.
• Supporting infrastructure upgrades and improvement projects.
• Installing servers and network equipment at other sites when required.
• Maintaining technical documentation and following security processes.
