Job summary
Seismic Ltd in Peterborough is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a fully on-site, 12-month contract (potential extension). The role supports assembly operations and NPI in a high-tech engine manufacturing environment.
You will drive process improvements, PFMEA, control plans and standard work, and work closely with Operations, Quality, Product Engineering and suppliers to enhance safety, quality and productivity.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing engineering experience within a production or assembly environment.
- Experience delivering manufacturing improvement, industrialisation or NPI projects.
- Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
- Good understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans and process validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project delivery skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver manufacturing engineering and process improvement projects
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing readiness
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, PFMEAs, Control Plans and Standard Work
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Support prototype, pilot and validation builds
- Identify and implement improvements to equipment, tooling and manufacturing systems
- Investigate manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions
- Work closely with Operations, Quality, Product Engineering and suppliers
