Job summary

A leading company in renewable energy solutions is seeking a Construction Manager for HV and BESS projects. This key delivery role involves managing subcontractors and ensuring the safe, timely execution of projects while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will have proven experience in construction management and a solid understanding of NEC3 and FIDIC contracts, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in construction management for HV, BESS or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC or similar construction contracts.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

? Location: Durham - onsite everyday

This is a key delivery role, responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring safe, timely and commercially sound project execution.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mobilisation, on-site construction, and project handover for grid-connected energy projects
• Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver in line with NEC3/FIDIC contracts
• Ensure health & safety, quality, and compliance across all phases
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Oversee site progress and reporting aligned with project governance and commercial goals
• Support internal teams to ensure designs, budgets and programmes are maintained

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven track record in construction management for HV, BESS or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC or similar construction contracts
• Confident managing subcontractors and leading multi-disciplinary site teams
• Commercial awareness and experience navigating contractual obligations
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Knowledge of CDM and relevant health & safety legislation
