A leading company in the energy sector is seeking an Onsite Manager in Kingston upon Hull, responsible for managing subcontractors and coordinating project execution for grid-scale battery storage and high voltage projects. Qualifications

Job Description:

Grid-scale Battery Storage (BESS) & High Voltage (HV)

Location: Durham - onsite every day

This is a key delivery role, responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring safe, timely, and commercially sound project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mobilisation, on-site construction, and project handover for grid-connected energy projects
  • Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver in line with NEC3/FIDIC contracts
  • Ensure health & safety, quality, and compliance across all phases
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Oversee site progress and reporting aligned with project governance and commercial goals
  • Support internal teams to ensure designs, budgets, and programmes are maintained
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven track record in construction management for HV, BESS, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC, or similar construction contracts
  • Confident managing subcontractors and leading multi-disciplinary site teams
  • Commercial awareness and experience navigating contractual obligations
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of CDM and relevant health & safety legislation
