Job summary

OnTarget Communications is seeking an experienced Lead Product Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced machine control systems. This hands-on engineering leader will drive the full lifecycle from concept through deployment and continuous improvement, across software, hardware, and manufacturing interfaces.

You will define architectures, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in machine control system design (PLC, embedded systems, or similar).
Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering processes.
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of machine control systems with performance and reliability in mind.
Own all stages of the product lifecycle from concept to deployment and post-launch support.
Collaborate with software, hardware, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams.
Define system architectures, requirements, and design standards.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in control system technologies.
Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster technical excellence.
