Job summary

OnTarget Communications is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to spearhead the design and development of advanced control systems from concept through deployment. The role requires a hands-on engineering leader with a track record across the full product lifecycle and a passion for technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine control system design (PLC, embedded systems, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in engineering environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of machine control systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Own and manage all stages of the product lifecycle, including concept development, design, validation, production, and post-launch support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, manufacturing, and quality engineering.
• Define system architectures, technical requirements, and design standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in control system technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
