Entech Technical Solutions is seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer (Electronics) for a 12-month contract on site in Peterlee. The role is Inside IR35 with umbrella pay up to £38.50/hour (PAYE £28.00/hour), dependent on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial control systems and automation.
• Embedded control systems knowledge is essential.
• Able to diagnose faults and determine root causes.
• Understanding of J1939 CAN/Ethernet, sensors and actuators.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver controls and software support for manufacturing operations.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment control system issues to minimise downtime.
• Support commissioning, testing, and tuning of production machinery.
• Understand production procedures, analyse and drive continuous improvement.
• Execute software updates, fault finding and system optimisation.
• Support validation and performance verification activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams; document changes.
