Job summary

Adria Solutions is seeking a Hardware Production Support Engineer to join an established technology manufacturer on the Scunthorpe production floor. You will resolve build and test issues, improve manufacturing processes and help bring new hardware products into reliable production.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and involves creating and updating assembly instructions, test procedures and BOMs, plus supporting the production handover of new products.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification in electronics, electrical, mechatronics or manufacturing, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience supporting electronic/electromechanical products in production/manufacturing.
• Strong build and test fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and BOMs.
• Hands-on soldering, rework and wiring harness assembly.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters and bench power supplies.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical docs with version control.
• Structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line engineering support for assembly and testing.
• Diagnose faults on the production floor and escalate when design changes are needed.
• Create and maintain assembly instructions and test procedures.
• Design and maintain test jigs, wiring harnesses and test equipment.
• Update BOMs and support ECR/ECN processes.
• Lead production aspects of new product introductions.
• Collaborate with QA and Purchasing to investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Improve build consistency, test coverage and production efficiency.
