Job summary

First Call Contract Services, Ltd. is hiring Yard Driver Operatives for weekends at the Thurleigh site near Bedford. You will drive parked cars to various bays, assist with retrieving vehicles and occasionally interact with customers.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, up to 6 points, and at least two years of licence holding. A 40-hour week with Friday to Monday shifts is standard. Benefits include a canteen, free parking and long-term employment prospects.

Yard Driver Operatives- Thurleigh

We have an amazing opportunity to work for a nationally recognised Car Auction company, considered to be the leader in its field.

The role of of the Yard Driver is based on the airdrome in Thurghleigh near Bedford.

Shifts for Yard Driving Operative – WEEKENDS:

• Day shift between 07.00 to 15.30pm –


• Friday to Monday


• Standard 8 hours per day


• 40hrs per week


• You must hold a UK drivers license.


• You need to have held your licence for a minimum of 2 years


• You must have no more than 6 points on your license.

Pay:

• £15.33 Friday per hour


• Paid weekly

Main Duties of Yard Driving Operative:

• Driving parked cars from A-Z locations


• Driving sold cars into chosen bays


• Customer facing at times


• Walking to retrieve the car required


• The location holds approx.10,000 cars


• Required to work in all weather


• Required to work in clean casual wear


• No road driving
