Job summary

First Call Contract Services in Thurleigh near Bedford is seeking Yard Driver Operatives for weekend shifts. The role involves driving cars within the yard, placing sold vehicles into bays, and occasional customer contact.

The position requires a valid UK driving license, at least two years' experience, and no more than six penalty points. On-site role with a long-term employment opportunity, canteen and free parking provided.

Yard Driver Operatives- Thurleigh

We have an amazing opportunity to work for a nationally recognised Car Auction company, considered to be the leader in its field.

The role of of the Yard Driver is based on the airdrome in Thurghleigh near Bedford.

Shifts for Yard Driving Operative - WEEKENDS:

• Day shift between 07.00 to 15.30pm -
• Friday to Monday
• Standard 8 hours per day
• 40hrs per week
• You must hold a UK drivers license.
• You need to have held your licence for a minimum of 2 years
• You must have no more than 6 points on your license.

Pay:

• £15.33 Friday per hour
• Paid weekly

Main Duties of Yard Driving Operative:

• Driving parked cars from A-Z locations
• Driving sold cars into chosen bays
• Customer facing at times
• Walking to retrieve the car required
• The location holds approx.10,000 cars
• Required to work in all weather
• Required to work in clean casual wear
• No road driving
