Job summary

Kanadevia Inova in London is seeking a Commissioning Engineer / Site Supervisor for the Riverside II Energy from Waste project. The role blends commissioning and site supervision on an end-of-project basis, with a strong focus on closing snags, coordinating contractors and ensuring documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, with an engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
• Experience working as a Commissioning Engineer and/or Site Supervisor on large-scale industrial plant projects.
• Experience supporting complex construction and commissioning projects, with Energy from Waste or Kanadevia Inova project experience considered advantageous.
• Experience working during the final stages of a project, including snagging, close-out, completion and handover activities.
• Strong understanding of thermal plant processes, including Energy from Waste, biomass, coal or oil-fueled plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate commissioning activities within your assigned system scope, ensuring design requirements, contractual obligations and project specifications are achieved.
• Provide effective site supervision alongside commissioning responsibilities, coordinating contractors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders across construction, installation and commissioning activities.
• Drive the close-out of outstanding works and snag items during the final stages of the project, working with contractors, commissioning, engineering and site teams to ensure actions are progressed through to completion.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to HSEQ, ensuring activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant requirements, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
• Monitor site and commissioning progress, identify deviations, risks and technical issues, and coordinate with the relevant teams to drive effective and timely resolution.
