Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Onsite AV Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Onsite AV Technician to be a key part of our London team, representing our client and working onsite, taking full responsibility for providing support of fully integrated conference rooms, boardrooms, and large complex environments such as auditoriums. The Technician interfaces daily with the customer and acts as an extension of their team. Their responsibilities generally include the operation and functional testing of all AV and integrated conference room components/equipment. The Technician works in cooperation with the customer’s management team in support of their equipment and user community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all audio visual and media services are delivered to the business in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Deliver a ‘white glove’ level of customer support to all end users.
  • Offer support and assistance to clients both virtually and in person.
  • Provide business as usual support & training to internal and external clients.
  • Assist and support the client in the use of fixed and portable AV equipment.
  • Ensure all video conferencing requirements for the client are met in full.
  • Ensure all equipment onsite is maintained and kept in working order with all faults reported via the onsite procedures.
  • Liaise with remote offices regarding the setup of video conferencing calls.
  • Setup and teardown all scheduled onsite meetings.
  • Perform daily system checks to ensure equipment and room functionality.
  • Perform remote testing for local and regional offices.
  • Support events including setup and operation of AV equipment.
  • Carry out first-line troubleshooting of AV equipment and rooms within time constraints.
  • Work closely with the helpdesk and field service engineers, where required.
  • Perform other AV-related tasks as directed by the client.
  • Work within a team shift pattern set out by the AV Team Lead.
  • Collaborate with various manufacturers to arrange and repair system equipment.
  • Work closely with the Event Producer Team and provide support when needed.
  • Maintain total confidentiality regarding information received for presentations and broadcasts.
  • Follow daily handover processes to ensure continuous support when required.
Desirable Skills
  • Good working knowledge of industry-standard video conferencing platforms.
  • Good working knowledge of video conferencing bridging systems.
  • Experience with industry-standard VMR service providers.
  • Experience working with corporate VIPs.
  • Experience managing AV for high-profile presentations.
  • Organized and flexible, able to handle various tasks during the workday.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience dealing with all levels of staff, especially executives.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • High computer literacy.
  • Flexible to work overtime if required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of liaising with executives and contractors.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Reliable and conscientious, pride in completing tasks on time.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Willingness to undertake training and examinations to enhance technical knowledge.
