Job summary

Oceaneering seeks a Remote Center Operations Supervisor to oversee remote ROV operations from the Onshore Remote Operations Center (OROC). The role collaborates with SSR, OPG Project Management, Service Excellence, and clients to schedule and execute operations from Aberdeen.

Key responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, IT infrastructure integrity, and process standardization across the OROC. Travel to international sites may be required; strong piloting and offshore experience are

Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years offshore experience performing ROV-related scopes.
  • Five years minimum experience with Oceaneering ROV systems supporting offshore O&G scopes.
  • Strong piloting skillset and ability to work under high-pressure, critical-path situations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (PeopleSoft preferred).
  • Passport valid and ability to obtain visas for international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule remote operations at the OROC with project management and clients.
  • Ensure OROC equipment is functional and ready to support remote operations.
  • Maintain robust and secure IT infrastructure for Remote Operations in collaboration with IT and data groups.
  • Assist with development of procedures and competency frameworks for remote operations.
  • Evaluate and qualify new technologies supporting remote operations.
  • Standardize remote services across OROC by coordinating with other supervisors.
  • Support sales, marketing and contract development with materials and specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to operational excellence standards and assist customer representatives on-site.

The position of Remote Center Operations Supervisor in SSR Subsea Robotics exists for the purpose of supervising remote ROV operations in the Onshore Remote Operations Center (OROC).

Job Description

The position of Remote Center Operations Supervisor in SSR Subsea Robotics exists for the purpose of supervising remote ROV operations in the Onshore Remote Operations Center (OROC).

This individual will support all remote ROV operations on Oceaneering projects, drilling rigs and other vessels of opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with SSR & OPG Project Management, Service Excellence groups, and clients to schedule remote operations at the OROC.
  • In cooperation with Service Excellence technical support group, ensure that equipment at OROC is in a functional state and ready to support remote operations.
  • Work with Corporate IT and Integrity Management & Data Solutions groups to maintain robust and secure IT Infrastructure for Remote Operations.
  • Assist with the creation of procedures, processes, competencies etc. that are specific to remote operations.
  • Assist with the evaluation and qualification of new technologies that support remote operations.
  • Ensure standardization of remote services through collaboration with other OROC supervisors.
  • Assist Sales, Marketing and Commercial in development of marketing materials, proposal development and contract specifications.
  • Ensure that OROC users work to the established standards for operational excellence.
  • Provide support to customer representatives attending operational activities at OROC.
  • Key Accountabilities Maximize uptime of OROC Manage inventory of equipment Manage costs associated with operating OROC and stocking equipment

Required QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience offshore industry performing ROV related scopes.

Five (5) years minimum experience working with Oceaneering ROV systems supporting offshore O&G scopes.

Strong piloting skillset / comfortable working under critical path higher pressure situations.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, and ERP System, PeopleSoft preferred.

Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.

DESIRED

Experience with various ROV scopes to include dual ROV construction vessel, drill support, and completions.
