JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for an Onshore Construction Lead (contract). The role will be based at the Redcar site office on an energy transition project as part of an IPMT team.
The RoleAs an Onshore Construction Lead, you will be responsible for planning and executing the onshore scopes, including landfall, outlet facility, and onshore pipeline within the offshore project.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Member of the Offshore Construction Team, reporting to the Offshore Construction Manager.
- Support the Offshore Construction Manager in delivering an integrated construction plan and execution through to Mechanical Completion (MC), following the Subsea Construction Execution Plan.
- Manage the performance of EPCI 1 delivery of onshore construction and installation activities, providing support to the EPCI 1 CAM on construction-related matters.
- Ensure the delivery of EPCI 1 onshore construction scopes in accordance with client and industry standards, project contracts, and specifications.
- Contribute to the engineering discipline lead in developing the contractors' design, including participating in design reviews.
- Oversee construction deliverables and installation engineering, liaising with contractors' execution teams, and coordinating all client comments on contractors' documentation.
- Coordinate with other project disciplines, including HSE, quality, project management, engineering, commissioning, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement client and contractor readiness processes and work package planning for EPCI 1 onshore activities.
- Review and approve onshore system constructability, ensuring the validity of contractors' tools and incorporating lessons learned from industry experience.
- Provide input into construction interface and SIMOPS management, coordinating site activities with PCC.
- Contribute to the management of construction risks and ownership of actions.
- Assist in assessing the competencies of onshore site resources.
- Implement safety, quality, sustainability, and collaboration charters.
- Support client self-verification activities, including functional reviews, EPMRs, and PHSSERs.

- Mobility: ability to work between client offices in London and the onshore site in Teesside.
