Onshore Cables Package Manager

TRS Staffing has an exciting new role for an Onshore Cables Package Manager.

The role involves safely leading all aspects of the package, providing support and strategic guidance to the package team for onshore cable works.

Certifications

• A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• High-level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH (advantageous)

Requirements

• A strong and positive attitude towards Health, Safety, Environment, and Security
• Ability to lead the package in HSES
• Extensive experience in onshore cable installation projects (experience in substation construction or large-scale linear projects is an advantage)
• Proven track record in civil engineering and construction management, with knowledge of civil engineering techniques including trenchless methods
• Coordination with other packages and support for interface managers, including support to the Consent and Land team and third parties
• Monitoring compliance with Project Quality KPIs with support from Quality Managers
• Knowledge of HV cable systems (preferred)
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience on large-scale renewable projects (desirable)

Scope of Works

• Lead the Onshore Cables works package, including installation and reinstatement of the site and temporary works areas, prior to handover to operations teams
• Experience in large-scale construction of onshore elements of offshore wind farm developments, including civil, electrical, and reinstatement aspects
• Experience with electrical installations, testing, and commissioning of HV systems and cables
• Deliver contracts while ensuring compliance with legal, consenting, and industry standards

Deliverables

• Develop package requirements, utilizing business and technical support functions, to lead construction, reinstatement, and handover to operations
• Prioritize health, safety, and environmental considerations throughout all aspects of the work, including KPI reporting to management
