Department Information

The Retail arm of Brooklyn Travel Group encompasses Travel Sales, Admin Support, Product, and Customer Service. As an independent travel agent, we sell holidays to any destination from our 11 stores across Scotland and Northern Ireland, offering an omni-channel booking approach. Our goal is to provide seamless customer service from inquiry to 'Welcome Home' call.

Role Information

The Online Travel Consultant role is dynamic and fast-paced. You will be passionate about travel, creating personalized experiences for customers, working remotely, and demonstrating your knowledge to tailor holidays beyond standard packages.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle online web chats and customer inquiries
• Maintain good knowledge of tour operators and airlines to meet customer needs
• Represent Stewart Travel, providing exceptional travel advice
• Communicate professionally, listening to customer needs and offering suitable solutions
• Book holidays, including flights, hotels, transfers, and excursions
• Tailor-make holidays and cruises to fit customer requirements
• Suggest upgrades and additional products to maximize sales
• Secure payments for deposits and travel expenses
• Innovate to generate new business
• Contribute to team goals and maximize individual sales profit

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in travel sales preferred
• Good understanding of travel products, tour operators, and airlines
• Excellent written communication skills
• Confidence in online and web chat communication
• Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced sales environment
• Multitasking and prioritization skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to support other branches as needed
