About the role

This role supports the Online Trade Performance Manager by providing detailed analysis and insights into online trading performance. The analyst will assist in the financial planning process, data analysis, and the monitoring of performance against KPIs. In week, you will support the analysis of current performance across all Waitrose channels, working with various data systems. You will identify performance issues and opportunities, providing recommendations to inform trade planning, campaigns, merchandising and decision-making across Online Trade. You will regularly review the Online Trade Plan - based on trade performance across the websites and apps - to support the continuous optimisation of trade across all Waitrose Channels. You will be responsible for the in week forecasting process, accurately forecasting the latest views and communicating performance to the wider business, working with Optimisation, Merchandising and Marketing you will ensure a robust and strong narrative. You will also support on longer term views for budget setting and re-forecasts across our channels, assessing data and external influences to deliver accurate views. You will role model a customer-first approach and create an environment for performance and innovation. Working across all our channels you will have an omni approach to planning and forecasting that supports the performance across the board and considers how we support our branches to drive the total Waitrose business.

  • Salary: Up to £65,000, depending on experience

  • Contract type: This position is a Permanent role

  • Working pattern/flexible working: The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you\'ll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Online Trading team aim for circa 2 days in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.

  • Location: This role is a hybrid role home location is Bracknell

  • Interviews will be taking place from 6th October.

Essential skills/experience you\'ll need

  • Sales and/or commercial forecasting

  • Online Trading experience; understands how to influence conversion, traffic and spend

  • Ability to generate innovative insights from analysis and translate these into actionable plans

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills at all levels

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Tableau, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics.

  • Strong numeracy skills and experience with Excel/Sheets.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

  • Understanding of online customer journeys and online marketing.

  • Grocery retail experience
