Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Online Tutors with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition sessions remotely across English, Maths and Science at GCSE level. The role emphasizes flexible, student-centred online lessons and safeguarding compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Recent safeguarding training or willingness to complete Prospero's safeguarding training.

Online Tutor (QTS) - Remote

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced Online Tutors with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition sessions remotely. We are looking for tutors across a range of subjects, including English, Maths and Science at GCSE level.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their academic potential.

As an Online Tutor, you will provide tailored one-to-one support to students, helping to close learning gaps, raise attainment and prepare them for examinations. You will deliver engaging and effective online lessons that meet the individual needs of each learner.

Contract Details

• Location: Remote / Online
• Position: 1:1 Online Tutor

• Hours: Part-time, based on student requirements and availability
• Pay Rate: From £25 per hour
• Schedule: Flexible, dependent on pupil availability

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• A minimum of 1 year's UK teaching experience
• Experience delivering engaging online learning sessions
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A firm but supportive approach to student engagement
• Recent safeguarding training, or willingness to complete Prospero's safeguarding training

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Have the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two professional references relating to work with children or young people
