Job summary

Square Enix requires a QA tester to join the QA team under the supervision of the QA Coordinator. You will test and proofread game content, report linguistic issues, and ensure translations are accurate and not misleading.

You will follow test plans, work to deadlines, and contribute to quality across game-related assets including websites and companion apps. A passion for RPGs and MMO titles is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Excellent native German language skills and good English language skills.
• Strong eye for detail and high accuracy.
• Good written and spoken communication.
• Knowledge of RPGs and console games.
• Able to work methodically and under pressure.

Job description

Working as part of a team under the supervision of the QA Coordinator; finding, reporting and working through errors in the assigned game; following test plans and completing assigned tasks on time. Execution of other duties under the leadership of the QA management.

Qualifications and SkillsEssential:

Desirable:

• Basic Japanese language skills.
• Knowledge of Square Enix games and MMORPGs (especially Final Fantasy XIV).
• Interest in video games - Japanese/RPG games in particular.
• Knowledge and Experience in Utilizing AI Tools.
• Previous industry experience in QA testing.
