Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Online Music Teacher to provide engaging and effective virtual music instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, proficiency in one or more instruments (or voice), and the ability to inspire students in a remote learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver live, one-on-one or group music lessons via video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Skype, Google Meet).
  • Customize lesson plans according to students' age, skill level, goals, and musical interests.
  • Teach music theory, technique, ear training, and performance skills.
  • Assign appropriate practice materials and monitor students' progress.
  • Provide regular feedback and encouragement to students and parents (if applicable).
  • Prepare students for recitals, exams, auditions, or competitions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson notes, and student evaluations.
  • Stay updated on new teaching methods, music technology, and repertoire.
Qualifications
  • Degree or certification in Music Education, Performance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior teaching experience (online or in-person) preferred.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone setup.
  • Familiarity with digital music tools, sheet music software, or learning platforms (e.g., Noteflight, SmartMusic, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in an online setting.
Work Schedule
