1) Dissertation Supervisor (Psychology)

We are seeking dissertation supervisors with a specialist psychology background in qualitative research methods to join our dynamic online faculty. In this role, you will support undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation students in collaboration with our university partner, the University of Essex. 2) Forensic/Criminal Psychology Tutor/Supervisor

We are also seeking dissertation supervisors and/or tutors (qualitative or quantitative) with a suitable psychology teaching background in the following areas:

• Forensic Psychology
• Criminal Psychology

Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the dissertation supervisor is to advise and guide our dissertation students in completing qualitative research projects. Responsibilities include:

• Advising and guiding students throughout the dissertation process, from proposal writing to ethical approval, data collection, and writing up.
• Providing students with examples from your own practice and sharing your expertise within the online teaching environment.
• Providing constructive feedback and advice to support student academic and personal development.
• Responding to academic queries to assist students in completing their dissertations.
• Collaborating with Programme Support, Student Support, and Psychology Departments as needed.

If you fit the module tutor role(s):

• Leading online teaching sessions, monitoring, and contributing to discussion forums, and leading webinar sessions.
• Moderating and assessing both formative and summative assessments.

Support and training will be provided. These roles offer flexibility with remote working and hours that can fit around your existing commitments.

What you’ll bring to the role

• A strong academic background and practical experience in supervising qualitative dissertations and/or teaching the relevant subject areas.
• Experience in teaching and assessment on higher education programmes at postgraduate level.
• A PhD in a Psychology-related area (excluding the Fundamentals of Effective Learning in Psychology module).
• Experience of teaching and assessing at levels 4-7 within UK Higher Education.
• Willingness to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels as appropriate.
• Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online meeting software).
• Good interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with colleagues and students in virtual environments.
• Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection.
