Job description

As an Online Media & Supplier Manager, you will lead the Online Strategic Suppliers (OSS) programme to drive category growth by defining the strategy and direction for the program. You will set clear objectives at the start of each financial year in line with the online strategy and overall commercial and category objectives.

The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, allowing you to work a mixture of office and home based upon your personal needs while balancing business needs. The team aims for around 2 days a week in the office for connection and ad-hoc meetings.

Location

This role is based at our Bracknell Head Office.

The assessments for this role will include an individual interview during the week commencing 19th May 2025.

Key responsibilities

  1. Create frameworks and manage stakeholders to add value to the Online Trading and development roadmaps.
  2. Identify and pursue new opportunities to advance the program, working across Content, Product, and Marketing to optimize trade growth levers.
  3. Own the online data sharing and insight proposition for strategic suppliers, managing reporting and insights as per the developed framework.
  4. Promote OSS across Commercial to increase awareness and understanding of the program's benefits, supporting Retail Media and Media sales with new tools and capabilities.
  5. Develop online supplier plans, including frameworks and working methods with CPGs, Commercial Management, and Digital Development, ensuring a cohesive approach to supplier engagement.
  6. Manage the strategic supplier program to enhance investment and improvements to online commercial and customer propositions.
  7. Develop and implement a supplier communications plan to boost online engagement.
  8. Oversee online inventory for media investments and support testing of new assets for growth and optimization.
  9. Define data and insight requirements for Online Strategic Suppliers, ensuring delivery of all reporting obligations.
  10. Influence effectively to achieve excellent execution and meet commercial objectives for both suppliers and Waitrose.
  11. Coach and develop team talent.

Essential skills/experience

  • Proven track record of delivering commercial targets.
  • Experience managing suppliers collaboratively towards common goals.
  • Numerate with strong data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Leadership and people development capabilities.

Desirable skills/experience

  • Knowledge of digital product methodologies.
