Specialist SEN Teacher - Empower Young Minds in Yaxley

Location: Yaxley and surrounding areas

Working Days: Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Hours: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (flexible working available)

Pay Rate: £30-£35 per hour (PAYE - case dependent)

Focus: One-to-One Teaching for students with SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and medical needs

About The Role

We are seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Teachers to work closely with children and young people who require tailored support. This is a unique opportunity to deliver one-to-one teaching that nurtures both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Establishing Trust: Create a calm, consistent, and safe learning environment where students feel secure and valued.
  • Customising Education: Plan and deliver lessons that are adapted to each learner's individual needs, strengths, and goals.
  • Collaborating with Families: Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support learning beyond the classroom.
  • Encouraging Growth: Use creative, empathetic teaching methods to build confidence, resilience, and academic success.
  • Leading by Example: Demonstrate positive behaviours and values that inspire students to reach their full potential.
What You'll Need
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE)
  • At least two years of teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science (UK curriculum)
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 1 to 4
  • Excellent English skills and a background in SEN education
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding practices
