Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is seeking an Alternative Provision Teacher in Lincoln to provide one-to-one educational support for students with special educational needs (SEN). This flexible role involves delivering tailored lessons, creating a supportive environment, and collaborating with families to enhance student learning and personal growth.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Proven ability to support students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Job description

Alternative Provision Teacher - One-to-One Education Support

Location:Lincoln and surrounding areas

Rate:£30-£35 per hour (PAYE, case dependent)

Schedule:Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Hours:9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible working available)

Focus:Individualised teaching for students with SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and medical needs

About The Role

Are you an experienced educator with a passion for inclusive learning? We are looking for SEN Teachers to deliver one-to-one support to students who require a more personalised approach to education. You'll work with learners facing a range of challenges, helping them build confidence, develop key academic skills, and re-engage with their education in a meaningful way.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored lessons in core subjects, adapted to each student's individual learning needs
  • Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to ensure consistent support
  • Encourage personal growth, resilience, and academic achievement
  • Promote positive behaviour and model lifelong learning values

What We're Looking For

  • QTS or equivalent (e.g. , PGCE)
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science (UK curriculum)
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 1-4
  • Proven ability to support students with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
