Job summary

An inclusive education provider in Lincoln is seeking an Alternative Provision Teacher to provide one-to-one education support for students with special educational needs. The role involves delivering personalised lessons, creating a supportive environment, and collaborating with families. Ideal candidates will have a QTS or equivalent, strong subject knowledge, and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. This position offers £30-£35 per hour, Monday to Friday during term-time with flexible hours.

Job description

Alternative Provision Teacher - One-to-One Education Support

Location: Lincoln and surrounding areas

Rate: £30-£35 per hour (PAYE, case dependent)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible working available)

Focus: Individualised teaching for students with SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and medical needs

About the Role

Are you an experienced educator with a passion for inclusive learning? We are looking for SEN Teachers to deliver one-to-one support to students who require a more personalised approach to education. You'll work with learners facing a range of challenges, helping them build confidence, develop key academic skills, and re-engage with their education in a meaningful way.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver tailored lessons in core subjects, adapted to each student's individual learning needs
  2. Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
  3. Collaborate with families and professionals to ensure consistent support
  4. Encourage personal growth, resilience, and academic achievement
  5. Promote positive behaviour and model lifelong learning values
What We're Looking For
  1. QTS or equivalent (PGCE)
  2. At least 2 years of teaching experience
  3. Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science (UK curriculum)
  4. Experience teaching across Key Stages 1-4
  5. Proven ability to support students with SEN and SEMH needs
  6. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  7. Legal right to work in the UK
  8. Solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
