One-to-One SEN Teacher - Focused Support, Real Results

Location:

Grimsby and surrounding areas

Pay Rate:

£30-£35 per hour (PAYE, case dependent)

Working Days:

Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Hours:

9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible working available)

Specialism:

Individualised teaching for students with SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and medical needs

About the Role

Are you a qualified teacher looking to step away from the traditional classroom and into a role where your impact is immediate and personal? We're seeking SEN Teachers to work one-to-one with students who require a bespoke approach to learning. You'll be supporting learners with a range of additional needs—helping them build confidence, develop essential skills, and re-engage with education in a meaningful way.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Deliver tailored lessons in core subjects, adapted to each student's learning style and pace.
2. Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families.
3. Create a calm, structured environment that supports both academic and emotional development.
4. Encourage independence, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning.
5. Promote inclusive values and model positive behaviour.

What We're Looking For

1. QTS or equivalent (PGCE).
2. At least 2 years of teaching experience.
3. Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science (UK curriculum).
4. Experience across Key Stages 1-4.
5. A background in supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or complex needs.
6. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
7. Legal right to work in the UK.
8. A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
