Job summary

SEN Teacher - Individualised Education That Changes Lives

Location: Bourne and surrounding areas

Rate: £30-£35 per hour (PAYE, case dependent)

Schedule: Monday to Friday | Term-Time Only

Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible working available)

Focus: One-to-One Teaching | SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and Medical Needs

About the Role

Are you an experienced teacher looking for a more flexible, impactful way to support young learners? This role offers the opportunity to work one-to-one with students who benefit from a personalised approach to education. You'll be helping children and young people with a range of needs—academic, emotional, and medical—to reconnect with learning and build confidence to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Deliver tailored lessons in Maths, English, and Science, aligned with the UK curriculum
  2. Adapt your teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student
  3. Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families
  4. Create a safe, structured environment that encourages growth and resilience
  5. Promote independence, self-esteem, and a lifelong love of learning
What We're Looking For
  1. QTS or equivalent (PGCE)
  2. Minimum 2 years' teaching experience
  3. Experience working with SEN and SEMH learners
  4. Confidence teaching across Key Stages 1-4
  5. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  6. Legal right to work in the UK
  7. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
