Job summary

Shaw C of E Primary School in Melksham, Wiltshire invites applications for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract. You will work with a specific child under the direction of the Class Teacher and/or SENCO, delivering targeted activities to boost learning.

The post is 17.5 hours per week, term-time only, with a competitive benefits package via The White Horse Federation. We seek a caring, experienced TA who can build strong relationships with children and families and help every pupil

  • Experienced Teaching Assistant who loves to work with children and helps to inspire them to achieve their potential.
  • Outstanding relationship-builder with children, families and staff.
  • Experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs including planning and delivering interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a child on a 1:1 basis to support learning and progress.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and/or SENCO to plan and deliver interventions.
  • Provide targeted activities and programmes to support development.

We couldn’t do what we do without our fantastic staff team, and we are looking for a friendly, caring and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working team and work with a child on a 1:1 basis. You would be working with the Class Teacher and/or SENCO to meet the needs of an individual child, including activities and interventions to support their learning and progress.
