We are seeking a highly qualified and immediately available One to One Study Skills Tutor ASC to join our team and support students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs) and Autism. This is a crucial role within our student support department.

Position description / Job description
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students.
  • Guide students in effective time management and organizational strategies.
  • Assess student progress and adapt learning plans as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with university staff and other support professionals.
  • Utilize online teaching technologies and resources to enhance learning experiences.
  • Create personalized learning materials and activities tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide tailored academic support, focusing on study skills and learning strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians (if applicable).
Expectations / Requirements

We're looking for you, if:

  • You possess proven teaching experience with students exhibiting SPLDs and Autism.
  • You hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • You have experience supporting autistic students and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
  • You have completed the National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules (support provided if needed).
  • You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • You are a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
