Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work in the UK or UK resident.
  • Previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years.
  • Two references from work with children.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.

Overview

One to One SEN Teaching Assistant required for a school in St. Helen’s. Salary/rate: £92 - £95 per day. 5 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Support a pupil with Special Educational Needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working closely with the class teacher and the EYFS team.
  • Attend EHAT/TAC meetings where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and use a range of strategies to support positive behaviour and wellbeing.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g., NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) – desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or UK resident.
  • Previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Previous EYFS and SEN experience.
  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
  • Two references from work with children.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
