Job summary

Bellefield C of E Primary & Nursery is seeking a Named Pupil Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support to a pupil, helping them access learning and participate in school life.

Working with teachers and the SEND team, you will adapt activities, monitor progress, promote independence and wellbeing, and build positive relationships with peers. Hours: 17.5 per week over 38 weeks (Mon-Fri, 08:40–12:10). Start date: 15 October 2026 or as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils, preferably in a primary setting.
• Ability to foster inclusion and support learning needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a pupil.
• Adapt learning activities in collaboration with teachers.
• Monitor progress and give feedback to support interventions.
• Promote independence, positive behaviour and relationships.
