Job summary

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth is seeking a One to One Maths Tutor who will plan, implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for individual students. You will deliver intervention programmes, encourage academic growth, and promote the academy’s inclusive ethos.

The role requires a Graduate in a related subject or AS/A2 level, or a qualified teacher, with excellent communication, listening, time management and organisational skills. Experience in a school is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for individual students.
  • Deliver intervention programmes and assist in developing learning materials and lesson plans.
  • Report pupil progress and liaise with the Head of Department and teachers to provide feedback.
  • Support exam revision sessions and comply with Child Safeguarding Procedures at all times.

Job description

Are you passionate about raising student attainment and providing personalised support to help every pupil reach their potential? Join us as a One to One Maths Tutor, where you will be key to planning, implementing, and delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for individual students. This vital role involves delivering intervention programmes, encouraging academic growth, and positively promoting the inclusive ethos of the Academy. The One to One Tutor will deliver intervention programmes to individuals , working with department staff to prepare and implement appropriate learning experiences. A core duty is to assist in developing suitable intervention material, lesson plans, and resources. You will be responsible for reporting on individual pupil progress and regularly liaising with the Head of Department and teachers to provide feedback. Furthermore, you will support exam revision sessions and must comply with Child Safeguarding Procedures at all times.

We require a Graduate in a related subject or an AS/A2 level in a relevant subject or be a qualified teacher. You must possess excellent communication and listening skills, alongside strong time management and organisational skills. Essential abilities include supporting students with science work up to GCSE level and having a working knowledge of standard computer packages. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
