Job summary

Remedy Tutors in UB5 area is seeking a dedicated tutor to provide consistent one-to-one support in Maths and English for a student. Hours start at 10 per week with potential to rise to 20 as placement grows, delivering personalised lessons and building confidence.

You will tailor sessions to the student’s level, track progress and encourage an active, positive attitude towards learning. This long-term role offers an ongoing placement with room to develop impactful educational support.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach both Maths and English.
• Patient, reliable and encouraging approach.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Previous teaching, tutoring or SEN experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition.
• Teach Maths and English confidently.
• Prepare lessons reflecting the student’s current abilities and goals.
• Encourage participation, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Adapt resources and approaches to support progress.
