Job summary

Bradford Primary School is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a Year 4 pupil who is currently accessing learning at the beginning of the Year 2 curriculum. You will play a key role in supporting her personalised learning programme, building her confidence and independence, and helping her to make accelerated progress.

The successful applicant will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement appropriate learning strategies,

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a relevant Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or demonstrable experience in supporting children.
• Experience in a classroom setting with primary-age children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, high-quality one-to-one support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
• Support her access to a personalised curriculum and classroom learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement appropriate learning strategies.
• Encourage and celebrate progress, building confidence, resilience and independence.
• Provide a positive, calm and nurturing influence throughout the school day.
• Help the pupil to develop both academically and socially.
