1:1 Learning Support Assistant – North London (N10) – June Start Full-Time | Specialist Autism Provision Axcis Education is working with a leading specialist school in North London that is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their team in June. This full-time role offers the chance to make a real impact, supporting a young autistic pupil in a personalised and supportive learning environment. The school provides highly individualised education programmes for children and young people with Autism, aiming to build confidence, independence, and life skills. Their approach is person-centred, with a strong focus on communication, community engagement, and wellbeing. Role Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support to a student with autism, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills. Deliver personalised support strategies focusing on communication, emotional regulation, and life skills. Use autism-specific approaches such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory integration methods (training can be provided). Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and family members to support holistic development. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience supporting children or young people with Autism. A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude. Knowledge of person-centred and autism-specific strategies (desirable). Strong communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
