Job summary

OneCall24 Healthcare in Helston, Cornwall, UK, is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to provide compassionate, one-to-one care for a young adult with global developmental delay who is non-verbal. You will work at home, building trust with the family and supporting daily routines with patient-centred care.

The role involves monitoring wellbeing, assisting with daily tasks, and managing the Hickman line and gastrostomy/GI tube care. Drivers are required, with day and night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one care to a young adult male with global developmental delay who is non-verbal.
• Monitor wellbeing, comfort and safety; assist with daily needs and promote dignity and independence.
• Manage Hickman line for TPN and medications; care for gastrostomy tube on free drainage; support with gastrojejunostomy tube.
