About the role

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations, focusing on customer satisfaction and store safety.

You will be Responsible For
  • Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Practicing safety in all tasks.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
  • Understanding store performance and contributing to profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
  • Following the 'think 25' policy for age-restricted products.
  • Responding to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Potentially running shifts in the absence of managers.
  • Following training to ensure safety and legality.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing its operations and passing necessary background checks.
