Job Description:

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

The customer is at the heart of everything we do, so you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve customers with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
  • Encourage customer feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
  • Work across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
  • Follow training to ensure safe working practices.
  • Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance and your role in delivering profit.
  • Follow company policies, live our values, and make everyone feel welcome.
  • Clock in and out accurately at the start and end of shifts.
  • Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
  • Adhere to the ‘think 25’ policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Respond promptly to assistance calls and explain actions to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized store environment.
  • May be responsible for running shifts in the absence of managers.
  • If applicable, undertake Post Office operations and pass necessary background checks.
