Job Description:

We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance. Your role is vital in ensuring smooth daily store operations and delivering a great shopping experience.

You will be responsible for:

  • Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
  • Working across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Practicing safety training and procedures.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
  • Understanding store performance and contributing to profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
  • Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Responding to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.

  • Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
  • Following all training to ensure safety and legality.

If applicable, duties will include operating the Post Office, requiring background checks for financial and criminal records, which must be passed to proceed.
