Job Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

You will play an important role in daily store operations, always seeking ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for staff and customers.

You will be Responsible For
  • Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback via surveys.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Following safety training and procedures.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
  • Understanding store performance and contributing to profit.
  • Living company values, creating an inclusive environment, and adhering to policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
  • Following the 'Think 25' policy for age-restricted products.
  • Responding promptly to assistance calls and customer explanations.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Potentially managing shifts in the absence of managers.
  • Completing all relevant training to ensure safety and legality.
  • If applicable, managing Post Office operations, including background checks.
