About the role

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

You will play an important role in daily store operations, focusing on customer service and store presentation, while actively seeking ways to improve service through feedback and coaching.

You will be Responsible For

  • Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Practicing safety and following training.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
  • Understanding store performance and contributing to profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately.
  • Following security procedures and safety equipment protocols.
  • Following the think 25 policy for age-restricted products.
  • Responding to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Potentially managing shifts in absence of supervisors.
  • Following all training for safety and legal compliance.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations of the post office, requiring passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
